The Recovery and Resilience Office serves New Hanover County and its units of local government, as well as area non-profit and other organizations, in long term recovery efforts.
The office is not a resource center for individual assistance. Its purpose is to provide coordination of data, policy development and priority setting for the use of state and federal recovery funding, and facilitate communications between state and federal agencies, the county and local organizations.
In addition to county staff assigned to this office, New Hanover County has retained the services of Ardurra Group, Inc. and Holland Consulting Planners, Inc. These partners assist with project development in areas such as public assistance, hazard mitigation, Community Development Block Grant programs, temporary and direct housing efforts, permanent replacement housing development, and financial and grants management of federal and state disaster recovery programs.
